A huge surge in emotions in the people caused the animated series / collection of short films (call how who likes more) "Love, Death & Robots" from Netflix. I decided to write about this, since I was also not left by this creation of indifferent … I left, left … lying, a little something in my soul fluttered, the middle is on half.
In emotional terms, my counter has earned a greater way because of the visual side of the masterpiece than because of the plot. I did not like these short stories, but it is right. I believe that every person will like only that which is close to him spiritually, situationally – this is not particularly explained in words.
I think that this blog is worth reading to those who watched or are not going to watch (because there are spoilers here). But maybe it will be interesting to the rest. A brief description of the plots is very chaotic, sorry, because the series is either too detailed or in two sentences. Gods-koshek, in fact, it is scary to publish such a long blog, few people will read it, probably. And there are a lot of pictures, probably-but still the visual part is very important here, praul?).
There will be cool if you write your vision of the series. There is no need to argue, and we will not, for every story everyone understands only in his own way.
Who worked?
The plots of almost all episodes are based on different literary works, and the scripts were mainly written by one person – Philip Jalatt. Shortracks were drawn by many animated studios from different countries. The plot and visual aspects are sooooo varied.
Perhaps I missed something, for I took the info from various sources, Yes, and everything is late at night, sorry.
One thing is clear for sure – the work was done huge, and this already makes us feel the scale of the project.
And now about my impressions is honest.
"The advantage of Sonny" (American Blur Studio, whose founder Tim Miller (removed Deadpool and Terminator: Dark Fate ". Probably, this studio played the greatest importance in creating the animated series, for led other studios)
Everything is quite simple and almost everything is predictable. Strong, independent Sonny with a difficult past beats a dude in battle, but then dies at the hands of a cute, but cunning girl in whom the main character falls in love (Ali simply sympathizes with her). They dug deeply, they shook for fear there, the struggle for life, but the series itself should be watched mainly only because of the battle of robots, because it is full of power and emotions-it looks awesome, music, robots themselves, the appearance of the characters, stylishly, yes.
But what I did not understand here is … The girl, the girlfriend of the main character (supposedly) stood and rubbed the man in a suit that Sonny raped some scum. She herself stands in a depraved form, relatively depraved, okay, and grinds for rape … hmmm … Narily something.
"Three robots" (Spanish Blow Studio, which creates its animation videos)
This series is awesome, and not only because there are cats that I love very much. Firstly, very bright characters: a small red-haired cute robot-charismatic, curious, active;A triangular box – a parody of modern girls in terms of “take a picture of everything you see”, a high robot is calm, trying to taste what is happening around.
They go, discuss the oddities of the life and buildings of people, get acquainted with the cats (BZ, how ridiculous it was when they were afraid that the cat would explode if they stop stroke – there is a certain truth in this: D).
During this series, I was visited by the idea that someday the robots would rise, go and stumble upon this series, which they will think about at that moment?)))
"Witness" (Pinkman.TV, American studio, here it is not difficult to guess to everyone who watches the novelties in the cinema: the artist of this studio, Alberto Mielgo, He worked on “Spider-Man: through the Universes”)
Personally, I did not see any deep meaning in it. I realized what was happening, that the man was chasing the girl, killed her, and then it turned out that they had changed places. Ring composition. But nothing but the life of a prostitute is difficult ”I did not see.
Visually the series is incredibly beautiful. The only thing, the girl’s chest … what’s wrong with her? Thank you, Stopgame, without your recent vidos about the part of the body ruling the world, I would not pay attention to this (probably). Breasts are soooo unnaturally moving. And this is for all girls (perhaps it was conceived, um). The fact that the heroine fled around the city almost naked gives her a special helplessness, which enhances the effect of panic and fear.
"Costumes" (Blur Studio)
There is a certain coziness in this series. Probably because everyone is one there, everyone helps each other, the problem appeared – they drove to solve, and even events take place on the farm, which adds a home atmosphere. And the music is so rustic or something)))
But the tin itself, which happens, how roboto -vocation is torn off cows – looks terribly.
The robots are cool, so worked out in detail, not similar to each other, they feel power in them. But even their power fades in front of this crowd of incomprehensible and terrible creatures. Until the last you worry about the heroes-people.
I was in admiration: how did the characters have everything thought out there, everything was captured. But why do they take care of the cows, lead this farm if they managed to create such robots. Why not create universal robots who would do everything themselves. But, probably, the meaning is: that despite all these powerful gizmos, people do not deprive themselves of the pleasure of starting economy, living creatures.
And in general, a cool combination: cows, chicken and huge robots.
One of my loved ones said, they say, it would be cool to cut into a game where you save cows from these small enemies in such a robot.
"Swallower Soul" (Studio la CacheTte, French small and not very famous studio)
The terrible series (especially the scene where the ardent creature broke the small guy) and leaves in the unknown. And why? Because scientists love to poke their nose where they do not ask. Please woke evil, as they say. Not sitting at home: D
The drawing is simple, while the staggering. The story is very simple, but dynamic, and the stylistic corresponding. Not so much the color scheme is not so much in terms of active lines.
And the cats appear again. Just like in reality, cats are our defenders.
But in general, the series is so -so, it hurts a lot of questions after watching. More than necessary, I think. Most likely, the heroes died.
"When yogurt captured the world" (Blow Studio)
The only series whose style I didn’t https://fortuneclockcasino.co.uk/ really like. I don’t know, just not very pleasant seemed. But at the expense of the central character-yogurt-the story came to me (some loves yogurts too much: D)
Honestly, I can’t say something in common. I just want to cut a few quotes containing a metaphor or some hidden meaning that I see.

"For the fault of the eagle" (Unit Image, A fairly famous French studio that worked on Kingsglave: Final Fantasy XV)
Here … this … graphics! My admiration.
The dudes went to one place in space, fell into another. The main character meets the old familiar, with whom he has sex, like everything is OK, more or less. And then it turned out that it was still worse that even there can be no talk of life at all, not to mention the pleasures.
The plot is very scary, the very realization that you … not where you think that it is not clear to you what is happening, there are two reality around the illusion, around. Brrrh, goosebumps on the skin.
What outraged me: sex. Yes, he can disturb. If you really need to show contrast, black and white, fear and love, then why not show that people are just good, comfortable, warm? It is much more expensive and brighter than sex and passion. Outwardly, maybe not brighter, but internally the feeling is much stronger. In this case, sex does not enhance the effect, it was stupidly put from an empty place. And even a nude can distract some from viewing.
"Good hunting" (Korean studio Red Dog Culture House, develops animation for mobile games)
A guy with his father catches a fox – beautiful girls who beg for men. But then the main character gets acquainted with one of and saves her from death. They are friends, soon the guy leaves for the city, works as a mechanic. The same girl who works as a prostitute comes to him. And then she finds herself in trouble: she is deprived of a real body and replace everything with metal/iron. Then the main character creates the girl’s body that transforms into a fox. And then the girl seeks to avenge men.
Well, there’s nothing to say. Girls love to fight for the right to calmly walk the streets, for which they are often condemned. Many men simply do not suspect how scary it is to move alone. Either men do not hunt by it themselves, or live in a box – in any case, they know only firsthand or do not know at all.
The characters are more or less ordinary (with the exception of a robot of a Lisa, which amazes with its thoughtfulness and detail), and the landscapes are beautiful, just wah. Very atmospheric and harmonious. I want to see this every day from the window.
"Dump" (Able & Baker, The Spanish studio, who had previously worked on the "ugly self")
My house is my fortress, whatever it is.
Dude comes to a landfill to evict an old man who has been living there for more than 20 years. But he stumbles on something, namely, on the garbage monster, and for the last time in his life he sees the white light. And the old man rejoices.
The dead rat at the beginning immediately sets the tone of the entire series, it becomes clear that now there will be something terrible. So it happens, a resident of the landfill tells a terrible bike, the employee does not listen to it and pays life for this all the whole thing. No matter how cruel this series is, there is something bright in it. Probably, the realization that you have a house, a holy monastery (even if for the rest it is a bunch of trash and dirt) that nothing threatens you and nothing needs.
Visually, everything is done simply, and at the same time impressive: a huge dump, a corpse of a friend, a monster who is in the soul of a sweet dog, eating an employee. Personnel are well deposited in memory.
"Werewolves" (Blur Studio)
Two men work for the state (something is connected with military operations), but only unlike the rest, these are the werewolf people, predators. Therefore, they are disliked and afraid at the same time.
They have good hearing, instinct, vision. They are capable of more than an ordinary person, and do everything in their power. However, it happens that enemies attack the camp (or city), and one of the men remains guilty, they say, he did not keep track, did not smell.
Then a friend of the murdered is going to take revenge. By order, the main character must deliver the enemy alive to the authorities, but he decides differently and takes personal accounts. And then he completely refuses this service and leaves to bury his friend: “There may be a beast, but now I am without a collar” because they don’t value, because they treat, as a beast, not a person, a mistake of nature.
The finale is strong, very, the music still plays so suitable. The finale is both pathos and sad, from that such mixed feelings: not that pride, or sadness.
Graphics again … KAEF. These species, uhh. Reincarnation from people into werewolves, fight. From each blow and a surge of blood, everything is compressed inside.
"Help" (experienced Axis Studios From the UK, which worked with large projects Blizzard, Riot Games)
A terrible series. Terrible not because blood, gut. I just think that people working in space are the most daring. They clearly understand more than us, ordinary mortals.
The plot is uncomplicated: the girl must fix the station/satellite or synchronize something there, flies into the spacesuit, pierces it and … it becomes clear that the situation is deplorable. But the girl takes herself in so far both hands, goes to extreme measures and returns to her plane/rocket/spaceship with one hand. She tore her to her to push her into zero gravity in the right direction.
How emotionally everything was, a person fights for his life, panic, realizes the situation … and tears his hand, although this is not a fact that it will help. She, like a fly that is lying on her back on the windowsill, buzzes and tries to roll over in vain.
Graphics make an indelible impression. The cosmic atmosphere, a sense of weightlessness, hopelessness, the scale of the earth and the police, the helplessness of man is well conveyed.
"Fish night" (Polish Platige Image Studio, which worked on the history of the creation of "Metro: Exodus")
Father and son drove somewhere, stalled in the middle of the desert, went to bed until the morning. And right in the desert appeared an underwater, magical world, the guy noticed, decided to swim with them, but a shark ate it.
A wonderful series in terms of visual, especially underwater world, luminous fish. Beautiful.
And all this beauty, bright emotions are quickly replaced by death, which is visually depicted no less plugging. Everything is so slowly, smoothly, and then – and a sharp death, just like in life. I expected this, because when the fish appeared at all, a large one ate small-natural selection, someone needs to die so that the other lived.
As for the meaning, I saw in the series a typical story "When I notice". It is worth believe in miracles, be seen, fantasize a lot, and reality will devour you.
By the way, this series prompted me to children’s memories: I wanted a train that goes straight through the water, and fish and other living creatures are visible behind huge windows.
"Happy Trinashka" (Canadian Sony Pictures Imageworks creates beautiful animation videos)
It is very symbolic that the 13th series about the plane with number 13. I think not everyone has noticed this. Mystics rejoice.
In the center of events, a combat aircraft, which is shown as something living and thinking. The car is literally animated. Trinashka takes out everyone and always, despite her old age and junk. And then one day it is undermined, the hostess of the car lays a bomb so that the aircraft does not get to the enemies. But … the car explodes not at the appointed time, but with the enemies.
This silence between the appointed time and the actual explosion explains everything, and it is very sensual. The ship to the last fights for its own like a person.
There is nothing special to say about the graphics, just atmospheric, the color scheme, tone, is successfully selected. Everything is balanced.
"Zima Blue" (Passion Animation Studios, which worked with Gorillaz and on the "island of dogs")
Pronounced stylistics, unusual and ingrown into my memory, due to its colors and forms.
Zima Blue is an artist who became famous for his large -scale and blue creativity. He was looking for himself, everyone was expecting grandiose works from him, but in the end he destroyed himself for the fact that he needed. He just wanted to appreciate the habitat, enjoy the correctly completed task, calmly clean the pool – what was originally intended for.
My sadness and happiness knew no bounds. And I am glad that the search for truth from the central character came to an end, and I am sad that it took so much time and vitality. Soul and creative series.
"Blind spot" (Vitaly Shushko, Our fellow countryman from St. Petersburg, collaborated with Disney)
The beginning of the series was immediately reminded by the game "Borderlands 2", the same batch.
Robots go at full speed to fight enemies. As a result, three of them die, and the youngest survives, performs a mission and is sad because of the death of the rest. But in the end … these are robots, right? All data about them are saved, which means you can restore back.
Very colorful characters. The characters are pronounced.
Funny series, many jokes, active development of action. Well designed the design of heroes, detail, an explosion beautiful. I am pleased with the eye.
"Ice age" (Blur Studio;Canadian Atomic Fiction, which is mainly engaged in visual effects, for example, in the "Ghost in the Armor", "Transformers: The Last Knight";Hungarian Digic Pictures, which is known for its trailers, for example, to Assassin’s Creed Origins)
As if a mini-film looked. The girl and the guy settle in the new house, open the old refrigerator, and there is a whole life, history: either dinosaurs, then monkeys, then war, then industry. And so in a circle.
The idea seemed to me original. But I liked it more, how it all worked out, what are the houses or war, animals or city, twist.
It’s pretty funny, and I thought that the main characters are looking at this civilization, and someone looks at them, and someone else will stare at the look and t. D.
"Historical alternatives" (Sun Creature Studio From Denmark, I worked with Riot Games, creating videos for League of Legends)
Ridiculous, controversial, funny series.
Several options for Hitler’s fate (but at the same time the world dies in any case: D). I wonder why they decided to cut a series about him. Someone probably caused a wave of indignation, and someone laughed. Hitler turned out to be a rather sweet and small man.

The stylistics corresponds to the plot-it is ridiculous or something, but there is something cool in it.
"Secret War" (Digic Pictures)
The seriousness of the series goes off scale. The war is still. In the center of events, Russian people who have to fight not only the Germans, but also with robot -like (or not) creatures. Who is worse – it is incomprehensible.
These dark gray and red tones inspire fear. Occasionally, only a green color appears (when the rocket is lit after victory), saying that there is still weak hope. And how many blood, corpses … the whole area is filled with creatures. As if a trailer for some game. It looks creepy. And the graphics are still so powerful, large -scale work on the visual side.
It is symbolic that a balalaika plays against the background, a Russian instrument.

In general, the series is powerful, it does not allow to get bored. He either seizes his knead and dynamism;or ends with the unknown, they say, think of it yourself;or takes to distant Dali deep thought.
Not all episodes (although my inner Chuyka suggests that everything, just I missed something) are saturated with depressive sentiments, but 80%.
It is impressive that the series affects both the global aspects of life and the small, seemingly insignificant.
The support goes to the main feelings laid down in us: self -defense, love, fear, passion, curiosity, hatred, etc. p.
The series is stylish, modern both in terms of trends (fashion), and in terms of trends (problems).
From minuses I can only note that sometimes an unjustified amount of nude. It does not always enhance the effect of events, does not always belong to the plot and is sometimes superfluous. The creators managed to shove it even into a series about yogurt. Perhaps I don’t understand something, but … I have my own view of this business.
And so, there is nothing very short. While I wrote a blog, I noticed many different details and semantic moments. Cognitive and funny.
