As you probably know, Bethesda representatives recently officially announced their first press conference at E3. Despite the lack of a stated list of games that the publisher will present, fans are waiting for the announcement of Fallout 4, including me.
And because of this big hype around Fallout, I decided to make an article where I will talk about all the loudest rumors related to Fallout 4. I hope it will be interesting.(I’m putting all the rumors in chronological order.)
February 27, 2012. Bethesda is looking for developers.
Bethesda announced on the official website that they are looking for developers for a project intended for the next generation of hardware.
The studio needs a programmer for a new generation of consoles who will help create a unique technology.
The studio’s latest project, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, was released last November, and the next game will most likely be Fallout 4.
Most likely, Fallout 4 will be developed on a significantly improved version of the Creation Engine – in January, Vice President of PR Pete Hines said that the studio is using the capabilities of this engine.
April 1, 2012. Bethesda announced Fallout 4 – first details.
Official data about Fallout 4 has leaked to the network, the announcement of which will take place in the next issue of gameinformer – in a week and a half.
Although no one doubted the development of a new part of the series, it still came as a surprise, since in recent years Bethesda has been completely occupied with TESV: Skyrim.
Fallout 4 will take place in a new zone – on the border of the states of Idaho, Washington and Oregon. Time period – 2290-2310 years. That is, more than two centuries after the Great War.
The release is expected only in 2014.
August 18, 2012. Fallout 4 will take place in Boston.
This rumor should be treated with a very large degree of skepticism, since there is no reliable official confirmation yet. However, the bottom line is that a source from MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) said that Bethesda has been conducting research in and around Boston for some time, including at MIT itself. And they are doing this as the first stage of development of Fallout 4.
January 9, 2013. A hint at Fallout 4 from one of the actors.
Today there was a fresh mention of Fallout 4 on Twitter. If you played the third part, you should remember one of the colorful characters – ThreeDog. The actor who voiced him, Eric Todd Dellums, tweets that ThreeDog may appear in the new Fallout game.
April 9, 2013. Bethesda hints at the announcement of a new game this year – Fallout 4?
One of the most interesting studios working on secret projects for the new generation of platforms is Bethesda. Considering the fact that it now owns such franchises as The Elder Scrolls, Doom, Quake, Rage, Fallout, Prey – then their next-gen games should definitely amaze us. And if it’s Fallout 4, and even on a new engine, then you can expect another months-long immersion in the universe, which will continue to live with the support of an army of modders. And judging by the words of Pete Hines, the announcement of Fallout 4, or another Bethesda project, should take place soon.
“I think that you will hear about us much more and louder this year than last year, and as a publisher. Obviously Elder Scrolls Online and DLC for Dishonored will be part of this, but we’ll also be announcing new things that will make a bit of a splash. I think we’ll have a chance to show you what we’ve been working on," Hines says in an interview with OXM.
Naturally, Pete wouldn’t go into detail about what kind of new project Bethesda has in store, but he does say that the title is worth the wait: "We’re working on what we love, and people will be excited to hear about what we’re doing.". This project will reach a new level, expand existing boundaries, and update the laws of the genre.»
Hynes adds that the next time he’s in London he’ll be able to talk about it in detail and see how people react.
May 30, 2013. Fallout 4 will be exclusive to Xbox One?
Cheapy D (developer) mentioned Xbox One exclusives in his podcast, adding "games like Fallout 4 for example"
June 17, 2013. Fallout 4 was shown at E3 2013 behind closed doors.
Information has appeared online that during E3 2013, publisher Bethesda demonstrated its new game, Fallout 4, behind closed doors. And today one of the NeoGAF users leaked data about what happened at the presentation.
Fallout 4 has been developed since January 2011 by a small team of developers in parallel with Skyrim
As of February 2013, the Fallout 4 team was the same size as the team that worked on Skyrim due to the end of support for TES 5
As of today, Fallout 4 is planned for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, but this is likely to change
The announcement of Fallout 4 will happen before E3 2014, but the release will not take place soon
Fallout 4 is scheduled for release in October 2015
As of June 2013, the game is 55% complete, voice actors will only be selected by the end of 2014
Bethesda has no plans to develop multiplayer, but local co-op is possible
Fallout 4 will take place in Somerville, Cambridge, Arlington and surrounding areas. Main setting: post-apocalyptic Boston. However, not the entire area will be open immediately
The plot is not entirely clear, but Vaults exist
The 37-second trailer begins with a semi-living phone sparking. The scene slowly changes and we hear typical music. Slowly the plan recedes to the level of the bell tower. Even higher and we see a destroyed city. This is Boston. Suddenly we hear a bang and the screen goes black again. We see Ron Perlman and hear "War… War Never Changes". »
Fallout 4 and 5 platform logo appears
June 20, 2013. Bethesda about Fallout nogamstop-casinos.co.uk/ 4 and the announcement of its new project.
In an interview with Polygon, Zenimax and Bethesda vice president Pete Hines said that the studio has not yet decided when the announcement of a new game developed by Todd Howard’s team will take place. And even more so, it’s too early to make assumptions about Fallout 4. Thus, the rumor that Fallout 4 was shown at E3 2013 behind closed doors turned out to be nothing more than a fan fiction.
November 4, 2013. Fallout 4 announced at VGA 2013?
Three years ago, in December at VGA 2010, Bethesda presented its new game – The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Fallout 3 came out over 5 years ago. And it has already been officially confirmed that since the spring of 2013, the team that worked on Skyrim has completely switched to a new project. And the choice is not that big – either TES 6 or Fallout 4.
November 14, 2013. Fallout 4 teaser site launched?
website thesurvivor2299.com registered ZeniMax recently attracted the attention of detectives from Reddit. Although there are still no clear indications of anything, indirect evidence indicates that the announcement of Fallout 4 is coming soon. Perhaps even on VGA 2013?
It is known for sure that the site is registered with ZeniMax, the parent company of Bethesda, which is the developer and publisher of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas.
The date 2299 points to the end of the 23rd century, 15-25 years after the events of the last Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas.
The signals on the site are Morse code, which indicates the date 11.12.December 13 – 11, 2013, when VGA 2013 will take place.
November 14, 2013. Zenimax has registered Void Engine – a new engine for Fallout 4?
Bethesda not only launched a suspicious site reminiscent of Fallout, it also became known that the company received the rights to the trademark “Void Engine Powered by id Tech”."This means that something called Void Engine is powered by the id Tech engine.
And in light of the latest rumors that Fallout 4 will be announced at VGA 2013, it makes me think that this is the new Fallout engine.
November 14, 2013. Location: Northeast USA and Boston.
The two audio files on thesurvivor2299’s website are called "Fall River" and "Bridgeport". These are the names of cities located in Massachusetts and Connecticut.
Both of these states are part of the so-called Commonwealth of New England. And it is in Massachusetts that the mysterious organization known as the “Institute” is located. Before the war it was the Massachusetts Institute of Technology located in Cambridge, near Boston.
The Institute survived the war and restored itself. Scientists continue to work there, but according to rumors, all this happens in conditions of complete isolation, thanks to which the Institute owns advanced technologies, including real AI and even knows how to create full-fledged androids.
And it is Boston, according to rumors, that should become one of the main cities of Fallout 4.
The Commonwealth is mentioned in Fallout 3, in the context of Dr. Madison Lee’s journey to the north, where the Institute is supposed to be located.
November 15, 2013. 26 days until Fallout 4 announcement.
On the site thesurvivor2299, which belongs to ZeniMax, a counter has appeared that indicates that there are 26 days left for something. This is exactly December 11, 2013. The date indicated by Morse code and, in combination, the time of the VGA 2013 ceremony. Apparently, the announcement of a new Bethesda game will actually take place on this day. Most likely Fallout 4
November 17, 2013. A blog on tumblr and a page on twitter that are related to the Fallout universe.
Both pages work as if it were the computer’s command line, but it requires a password. Some users have already tried to play with the code and enter data that is usually entered when hacking terminals in Fallout. Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to find any decryption or password yet.
Vault 74A is a secret shelter that was ordered by the Ministry of Missile Defense. This is exactly what the seal points to (in the gallery)
The shelter should have been located in Montreal – that is why the audio page is in French
According to the audio, between 2077 and 2299, two warring factions formed in the Vault, controlled by Johnny Cavaldez and Ella Do.
Cavaldez got control (LONG LIVE CAVALDEZ. FUCK ELLA DEUX)
Recent posts published on tumblr indicate that Ella was able to access the “computer”, which received targets for destruction: Johnny Cavaldez and Connor Cavaldez. Moreover, the one who can get rid of them will receive a reward.
November 17, 2013. Bethesda registered Fallout 4.
As it became known after the latest update of the database of registered trademarks in Europe, Bethesda Softworks, the publisher of games from the Bethesda studio, has received the rights to Fallout 4.
And if the trademark is included in the database, then according to the conditions, Bethesda must use it for 6 months with the possibility of extending the period up to 2 years. This means that the game could be released between tomorrow and November 2015.
November 19, 2013. Fallout 4 on tumblr turned out to be fake.
As expected, judging by the overly frank “game” with fans, a blog on the tumblr network dedicated to the potential announcement of Fallout 4 turned out to be a fake. The author himself published a final post in which he admitted that this is all he is capable of and it’s time to end the torture of uncertainty.
At this point, everyone most likely knows that this was not an official teaser, this is just an ARG that I created to support Bethesda after the massive hype associated with survivior 2299.
I know someone figured it out since you sent me messages.
The story and characters (besides survivior) were created by me, all audio clips (with the exception of French poems and a couple of effects), posters and images were also made by me.
I’m sorry I couldn’t finish the story! I’ll be too busy to do this, so I decided to end the game early 🙁 sorry.
You can hate me, I don’t mind and I understand you. I should have said from the very beginning that this is just fake. But I like it too much.
If you have questions about the characters, the story, or anything else, I’ll talk about it in a Q&A session on Reddit.
It was all fun!
November 21, 2013. Morse code updated on Fallout 4 teaser site.
The supposed teaser site for Fallout 4 – thesurvivor2299 has once again received an update. Now the message transmitted by Morse code has changed.
CQ – means “calling any station” or “To everyone who can hear”
DE – “from” or “in touch”
OZ is not an abbreviation, but can be translated as Oscar Zulu
PSE – please
AS – stay in touch.
The resulting message is: To everyone listening, this is Oscar Zulu, Please Stay in Touch. Interestingly, the Oscar Zulu Signal is one of the radio stations in Fallout 3. When the station is activated, it begins to transmit a message requesting medical assistance to Bob’s son Anderstain.
23 Nov 2013. Fallout 4 confirmed?
Analyzing the registration data, we managed to get the email wojci****@gmail.com
After a little Googling, it turned out that this person works for AKQA International. Now guess who did the Fallout 3 interactive campaign?
The correct answer is AKQA International.
The same company also handled advertising for Skyrim.

December 12, 2013. Fallout 4 Documents Leaked.
According to working papers obtained by Kotaku.com, a new part of the post-apocalyptic RPG really exists, and, as rumors suggested, the events will unfold in Boston.
Kotaku’s Jason Schrier writes that a couple of weeks ago he received casting documents for a project codenamed "Institute.»
"War. War Never Changes" is a classic series entry that was at the beginning of Fallout 1, Fallout 2 and Fallout 3. This speech is usually delivered by actor Ron Perlman, although in this case it appears that the player character will deliver the line.
Among other documents, a mission is described at the Institute – a post-apocalyptic version of MIT – with references to other Fallout locations, including the Commonwealth of States – Commonwealt.
One of the documents describing a character – who may not appear in the game – introduces Preston Garvey. There is a mission in the script where Preston sends you to retrieve the reactor core from the museum in Commonwealth.
The casting documents also include DJ Travis Miles and an engineer named Sturges, who is described as a cross between Buddy Holly and Vin Diesel. In addition, here you can find data about the male and female versions of the game character, who begin the game after emerging from cryogenic sleep.
Please note that all of these details may have been invented specifically for the purpose of casting, and none of this may appear in the final version of Fallout 4. Not to mention the fact that the new game may not be called Fallout 4 at all.
The most important thing from this information is that a new Fallout exists and Bethesda is working on the game. It’s a pity that there are no announcement or release dates.
January 17, 2014. Bethesda is looking for developers for a new RPG – Fallout 4?
Bethesda has posted several job openings on its website that indicate the studio is developing a new RPG for PC and consoles. It’s possible that this is Fallout 4.

October 17, 2014. A hint of a new Fallout from the Fallout 3 actor.
Almost a day ago, Eric Todd Dellums, the actor from Fallout 3 who gave the voice to the character Three-Dog, left a rather interesting and sudden entry on his Twitter.
"Dear Fallout fans, you never bother me. Don’t worry! You are as excited in anticipation as I am,” the recording says.
The network is already discussing in full swing a possible announcement at VGX 2014, the teaser of which took place recently.
October 28, 2014. Bethesda Announces New Project at VGX 2014.
Bethesda may once again announce its new project at VGX this year. This is hinted at by Jeff’s Twitter post last weekend:
“Great night of planning with the ladies who run Bethesda. You missed (Pete Hines)".
So, we are waiting for Bethesda at VGX/VGA 2014?
January 2, 2015. Fallout 4 will be announced in the next few months.
According to Kotaku writer Jason Sheir, the announcement of the new Fallout will take place in the next few months. It is possible that Game Informer magazine could serve as a kind of platform for the announcement, but these are pure guesses of the author writing this text.
February 10, 2015. Bethesda will host its own conference at E3 2015.
The company announced that at E3 2015 it will hold its first-ever conference as part of this event. As you know, conferences at E3 are largely held to announce something new.
Well, that’s all, actually. Let’s wait for more news about Fallout. In the meantime, remember:
